I'm a big fan of horror movies, which makes me a big fan of this yearly spooky tradition. It is also one of the best times in the year when we can be super creative, like out-of-the-box crazy creative with our interior home décor. There are no rules or guidelines to be followed; just let your wildest imagination take its course, and you know, let you create something scary or out-of-the-world fantasy for your kids and adult friends.
We all know that Halloween is just around the corner, and it's time to start thinking about transforming our home into a spooky and festive space. Whether you're hosting a Halloween party or want to get into the spirit of the season, here are some of the best interior design decors to inspire you. Also, I added a few bonus curated Halloween-themed home décor that I found online to give you specific ideas on creating these fantastic Halloween vibes in your space. I know you are super excited, so let's start!
Haunted Mansion Vibes
If you want to go all out with your Halloween décor, why not turn your home into a haunted mansion? If you have the budget (most people spend a lot during this one-night-a-year festival), why not? Cobwebs, fake spiders, and eerie lighting create a spooky atmosphere. Hang portraits with glowing eyes on the walls and add antique-looking furniture for an extra touch of creepiness.
Antique furniture can be expensive and create a problem for storage after the event. The best thing to do is turn your existing or old furniture to make it look antique, like adding cobwebs or even exerting extra effort to repaint them. The haunted Mansion is my favorite theme because it can go from simple to crazy; below are a few products that I found that will surely turn your living room into something scary and fun at the same time.

Pumpkin Patch
Pumpkins are a classic symbol of Halloween, so why not incorporate them into your interior design? Create a pumpkin patch display on your mantel or coffee table by arranging different sizes and colors of pumpkins. You can also carve or paint them with spooky faces for an added effect.
This can be a game with your friends; pumpkin carving is a fun activity during a Halloween party, and whoever wins gets a prize, or maybe the losers get to drink a bloody coloured vodka. In Alberta, many farms sell and decorate their fields with pumpkins, so there will be no shortage for this festive season. If you want to go extra, below are some pumpkin-themed home décor you can check out that will add glamour and surely level up your space.

Witch's Lair
Embrace the witchy side of Halloween by transforming a corner of your home into a witch's lair. Hang broomsticks on the wall, display potion bottles, and add a cauldron as a centerpiece. Don't forget to include a black cat or two for an extra magic touch.
I think the best space to transform your home into a witch lair is the kitchen/ dining area. You can turn your food and drinks into something that will look like potions or piles of human body parts where witches feast in preparation for their ritual. (This might be the effect of watching too many horror movies). You might want to check out some of the decorations I found below to turn your space into a place where witches congregate for their annual traditions.

Gothic Glam
Wear a gothic glam theme if you prefer a more sophisticated Halloween look. Use black and gold as your main color scheme and incorporate velvet, lace, and candelabras into your décor. Add some skull accents and dark floral arrangements for an elegant yet spooky vibe.
I find this Halloween theme to be more like an adult event. You and your friends can dress up even if it's only a house party. You can jazz up your living area by adding small details like LED candles and even changing your curtains with something black and glittery.

Below are some cool decors that you can use to turn your living area into a scene from the movie 'Coco' or a place people go to celebrate the Mexican holiday.

Spooky Gallery Wall
Create a wall with Halloween-themed artwork and prints. Choose pieces featuring witches, ghosts, bats, or other spooky elements. You can also add some vintage Halloween posters for a nostalgic touch. Gallery walls can be an added activity if you decide on the central theme you want to decorate your home with.
You can print black and white photographs of people from the past (like dead people; it would be fun if they were famous when they were still alive) and add cutouts of bat silhouettes, white cloth and fake spider webs. If you don't have time to DIY, I found a few ready-to-stick on your wall decals that will surely get your guests' attention.

Transform your living room into an enchanted forest using branches, twigs, and fairy lights. Hang paper bats from the ceiling and add woodland creatures like owls and foxes to complete the look. This décor theme is perfect for creating a magical and mysterious atmosphere.
This theme is famous for the kids because they can be more artistic with their costumes. Aside from adding artificial plants in your living room, you can also add vines with lights for an added effect, just like what I found below.
